Dear Crawford Co. Farmer;

The Meadville Kiwanis Club invites you and your farming family members to its noontime Agriculture Appreciation luncheon on MONDAY, MARCH 31, 2008 at the Community Center in Meadville.  This invitation is part of the Club's on-going efforts to recognize area farmers and continue the contact between the farming and non-farming communities.

Please join the Kiwanian's for this opportunity to sit down together to meet new friends as you visit with old friends.  A representative from Ernst Conservation Seeds, Meadville, PA will present information on possible crops (such as switchgrass) designated as feedstock for alternative fuels.  The presentation will also include points covering the ongoing research and development efforts, as well as potential markets.

The luncheon runs from 12: Noon to about 1 PM.  We start with the meal.  You serve yourself from the serving table so if you're a few minutes late it's okay (the blessing is given after the meal). We'll greet you at the door and direct you to the serving table. After the meal, Club Officers will ask you to introduce yourself.

The Crawford County Community Center is located at 1034 Park Avenue at the Corner of Park Avenue and Pine Street (next to McDonald's) in Downtown Meadville.  Some parking is available next to the building. More parking is available in un-metered lots on either side of Pine Street between Market and Water Streets.  If those lots are filled, look for a space along Water or one of the other Streets.

We will need to know the number of people planning to attend by March 25, 2008.  Please call me or write to me at the below number and/or address to make your reservations. If I'm not home, please leave a message on my answering machine with your name, phone number, and the number and names of the people who will attend.  Since we don't have all the names and addresses needed for our mailing, please include in your reservation farming family members, farming partners, and farming neighbors, if they can attend.  Come join us for lunch and hear the latest information from Ernst Conservation Seeds.
